For many audiences, Superman's absolute lack of concern for civilian safety during the climatic fight in Metropolis was about as un-Superman an activity as anything can possibly get. Now in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly , director Zack Snyder speaks out about the collateral damage that was shown in the end of 2013's Man of Steel and how that will tie in with the upcoming Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. “I was surprised because that’s the thesis of Superman for me, that you can’t just have superheroes knock around and have there be no consequences,” says Snyder.  It turns out that the destruction of Metropolis will serve as Batman's primary motivation to take down the Man of Steel. If there's one film out there that can generate a colossal amount of anticipation just by dropping it's name, it's the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice . Two of the world's most iconic and instantly recognizable fictional characters squaring off and joining forces is more than enough to get the box office numbers soaring, if done right, of course.
