In the vividly imagined realm of comic books, there's a place for everyone, regardless of their origin and purpose. Well, almost everyone cause there exists a very select number of characters who are so disproportionately powerful that it's incredibly difficult to craft a story around them. To create a feasible story you need conflict and there are not a lot of characters in the entire comicdom that can actually give them a sense of threat or challenge. As a result, they have been used pretty scarcely, in very few one-off story events and then left untouched.  While some of them have generated a huge fan base over the years, their overpowered nature prevents them from appearing in the mainstream comic book story lines.
