Witcher 3 Expansions to be "almost the size of Witcher 2"

During an interview with Gamereactor , game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz has stated that the combined play time of the upcoming two expansion packs of Witcher 3 might very well end up being around the same length as the second game in the series, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. "The expansion packs will be whole new storylines with all the elements you've got in the main story (like cutscenes, new characters, new items, new Gwent cards) and many, many more. They will be quite long. The first expansion will be around 10 hours and the second expansion will be around 20 hours... and I think it's possible that they will be bigger, because it's always like this (that when we plan some time or hours, it's twice or something like this), but I'm not promising anything right now. And even now, if you sum up this 10 to 20 hours and you compare it to The Witcher 2, it's almost the size of The Witcher 2. And it will be cool, it will be new stories,

Batman's Reason to Take Down Superman in Batman V Superman Revealed

For many audiences, Superman's absolute lack of concern for civilian safety during the climatic fight in Metropolis was about as un-Superman an activity as anything can possibly get. Now in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly , director Zack Snyder speaks out about the collateral damage that was shown in the end of 2013's Man of Steel and how that will tie in with the upcoming Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. “I was surprised because that’s the thesis of Superman for me, that you can’t just have superheroes knock around and have there be no consequences,” says Snyder.  It turns out that the destruction of Metropolis will serve as Batman's primary motivation to take down the Man of Steel. Batman actor Ben Affleck also echoed Snyder's statement: "One of the things I liked was Zack’s idea of showing accountability and the consequences of violence and seeing that there are real people in those buildings. And in fact, one of those buildi

Dragon Ball: Super Opening and Ending Sequence Out Online

Dragon Ball: Super made it's debut in Japan yesterday with it's first episode and within several hours of it's broadcast on Japanese TV, the opening and ending sequence found it's way to the internet (via  SaiyanGamer93 and SaiyanIsland.com ) and I have to say if you're a fan of the series you'll find both of them absolutely delightful. Feast your heart out: In both sequences, there is a great mix of all the elements that defines the Dragonball franchise: the humor, the sense of joy and the action. The quality of the animation is also absolutely gorgeous----it's pretty much closer to Battle of Gods than anything we've seen from the series earlier. It all goes to show how much love and sincerity went in behind the new series. Of course, that's hardly surprising as Akira Toriyama himself is at the helm of Dragon Ball: Super.  Ain't it awesome? Alongside the opening and ending sequences, there's also a preview of the second ep

First Story DLC for Batman: Arkham Knight Revealed

The first story driven downloadable content for the newly released Batman: Arkham Knight is Batgirl: A Matter of Family and will be available on July 14 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for those who bought the game's season pass. For those without the season pass, the DLC will make it's way after a week on July 21 for £6. This particular piece of add-on content was developed by Warner Bros. Montreal, the developer of Batman: Arkham Origins in 2013. However, Warner Bros. has confirmed that later DLC's of Batman: Arkham Knight will be developed by Rocksteady, the developer behind the acclaimed Batman Arkham Trilogy. Batgirl: A Matter of Family can be seen as a prequel to the Arkham trilogy as the events of the DLC take place before the first game of the series, Batman: Arkham Asylum. The DLC also enables the players to step into the shoes of Batgirl for the first time in the series. The DLC will take it's players to an entirely new location, with all new missio

New Photos Released for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

If there's one film out there that can generate a colossal amount of anticipation just by dropping it's name, it's the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice . Two of the world's most iconic and instantly recognizable fictional characters squaring off and joining forces is more than enough to get the box office numbers soaring, if done right, of course. Now to dial up the hype meter even higher, some new images of the film has been revealed to Entertainment Weekly , which not only features the Batman/Superman/Wonder Woman Trinity in full detail, but also Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor. Check them out: Be sure to head over to EW for more details on these images. What do you think of these photos? Also, with Comic-Con happening next week, there might be more info headed our way.

Warner Bros. Suspends PC sales of Batman: Arkham Knight

In an attempt to address the terrible performance issues in the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight, Warner Bros. and developer Rocksteady have effectively suspended all sales of the PC version of the title. Warner Bros. announced the decision on their official forums yesterday. We want to apologize to those of you who are experiencing performance issues with Batman: Arkham Knight on PC. We take these issues very seriously and have therefore decided to suspend future game sales of the PC version while we work to address these issues to satisfy our quality standards. New Plot Details Revealed for Dragon Ball: Super, will be 100 episodes

If you are a DragonballZ fan, you'd probably already know a thing or two about the upcoming Dragon Ball: Super. First, the story will pick up shortly after Goku and his friends have defeated Majin Buu (rendering the last couple of episodes of DBZ non-canon) and secondly, the anime will take place after the events of the two most recent DBZ animated films, namely Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods and Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ . Now some new details about the storyline of the series' first episode have surfaced, courtesy of the August issue of the V Jump magazine: After defeating Majin Buu, life is peaceful once again. Ordered by Chi-chi to earn money, Goku works even as he wants to train even more. Meanwhile, Goten, about to become a brother-in-law to Videl, sets out on a journey with Trunks to find her a present.   Seems pretty DBZ-ish and that's definitely a good thing. Also, take a good look at the image above, the new characters seem like the counterpart

Uncharted 4 isn't Open World, it's "Wide-Linear", Dev says

In a recent interview with Gamespot at E3 2015, Neil Druckmann, creative director of Naughty Dog, revealed that Uncharted 4 will not be following the Open World sandbox route to deliver it's signature brand of experience. Yeah, I mean the term we use is wide-linear. It's not open-world, because we wanted to tell a very specific story, with very specific tension. Druckmann stated that the relaxed pace of Open World experiences can really get in the way of the dynamics of the narrative, particularly in the case of a focused experience like the Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. The thing I have a hard time with, in open-world games, is that there's a lack of tension. Say if my ally's life is in jeopardy; I can still go off and do five different side-quests, and I don't believe that jeopardy. So I feel we need some way to control the pacing, and it needs to be ways where you are still active as well. I have to agree, for a heavily story driven experi

Wishlist for Dragonball: Super

As someone whose childhood was spent in the 90's, it's impossible for me to not become a fan of DragonballZ. I remember myself eagerly waiting for the weekends to arrive so I could find out how the evil Saiyans could be defeated or how Gohan, Krillin and Vegeta can stand against the Ginyu Force. DragonballZ was a pure, unadultered expression of everything that captures the sense of fantasy and innocence of childhood. That's why so many people around the world associate DragonballZ with their childhood.  Needless to say, the release of Dragonball: Super as the continuation of the original story of DBZ has me completely stoked. And I'm sure it'll deliver, as Akira Toriyama himself is at the helm of the series, unlike Dragonball GT which Toriyama himself described as just a “side story”. The man must have some really great ideas as there's no other reason for him to return to the series after nearly two decades.  As DB: Super will take place after

The Most Overpowered Characters in Comic Book History

In the vividly imagined realm of comic books, there's a place for everyone, regardless of their origin and purpose. Well, almost everyone cause there exists a very select number of characters who are so disproportionately powerful that it's incredibly difficult to craft a story around them. To create a feasible story you need conflict and there are not a lot of characters in the entire comicdom that can actually give them a sense of threat or challenge. As a result, they have been used pretty scarcely, in very few one-off story events and then left untouched.  While some of them have generated a huge fan base over the years, their overpowered nature prevents them from appearing in the mainstream comic book story lines. So without further ado, here's a compilation (in increasing order of power levels) of some of the most powerful characters ever conceived in comic book history. In fact, they are so damned powerful that even the writers have decided to leave them alone.
