Is Batman: Arkham City the Greatest Sequel of it's Generation ?

There have been many great sequels in the 7 th generation of gaming and some of them are rightly among the very best games ever made. Assassins creed 2 (AC2), Mass Effect 2 (ME2), Portal 2 are among these. Being a PC gamer, I missed out on Uncharted 2 & many other great sequels. But in my opinion, none of these games have managed to improve on their predecessors the way Batman: Arkham City did. A great sequel is defined by the degree it manages to outdo it's predecessor. Every one of the sequels above excelled at that so let me explain why I believe Arkham City managed to do a better job than these great games. Both Mass Effect 1 & Assassins Creed 1 had many tedious & repetitive sections in their gameplay. The gunplay, combat & the recycled environments left LOTS of room for improvement on Mass Effect. While the combat, repetitive information gathering missions & limited environmental interaction did the same for Assassin's Creed. Portal 2 improved

Our Childhood: When did it all end?

It's an universal fact that most people, regardless of where they live & their economic conditions, acknowledge their childhood as the finest part of their lives. It was in this particular phase of life when they experienced the most happiness, joy & hope. But ever wondered what exactly made our childhood so glorious? Is it because we didn't have much responsibility or work? Personally, I don't think that's true. I believe the joy we experience in our childhood isn't just the result of a particular time in our lives but the result of a particular mindset or perspective that we all possess back in our childhood. As our behavior largely flows out of our perceptions, it's the simpler & more empowering perceptions that we all have in our childhood which makes us feel & behave in such joyful ways. As we all know, there's literally a world of difference between the perspective of a child & an adult. Generally, a child looks at something &

Batman vs Superman: Too Soon?

For me, Man of Steel (MOS) was the most anticipated film of 2013. Where many attempts have been made throughout the past decades to capture Superman in all his prowess, philosophy & resonance in a live action film, almost none of them has succeeded on all fronts. Despite being one of the most recognized fictional characters, modern audiences still have trouble 'getting into' Superman. What the world needed was a Superman film that finally breaks this barrier & makes the character relevant to a whole new generation. While MOS had some glaring issues, it did get the relevance part right with it's huge emphasis on the sci-fi aspect of Superman's lore. However, the impeding sequel of MOS as more about the foundation of the Justice league film and less about a Superman solo film seems to me like a rushed decision. Don't get me wrong, I, too want to see a film comprising of Superman & Batman as much as anyone else. But after watching MOS, I believe, the c
