Wishlist of Fights in the Tournament of Power

The ongoing Tournament of Power has opened up a huge sandbox of possibilities when it comes to jaw-dropping fights in Dragon Ball Super. With Powerhouses like Hit from Universe 6, Goku, Golden Frieza and Vegeta from Universe 7, Toppo and Jiren from Universe 11 locked in an all-out battle royal, it’s obvious that they will engage with each other, sooner or later. But what’s more interesting is who they will be fighting with, and this is what the unique selling point of this arc is--thanks to the Tournament of Power, it’s now actually possible to see otherwise fan-favorite-pipe-dream fights like Hit vs Golden Frieza or Toppo vs Mystic/Ultimate Gohan and more. As it’s already set that Goku will be fighting Jiren and that’s possibly the main event this Tournament is building towards, there are many more such exciting cross-Universe fights that can happen. And here are my personal picks of the three most exciting possible battles that can really turn up the heat in DB Supe

Thoughts on the Current Arc of Dragon Ball Super

The Universal Survival arc of DB Super is one of the best things to emerge from the anime and truly hits everything that Dragonball embodies--high stakes battles, emotional intrigue and tons of fan-favorite-dream moments (like the upcoming Goku and Hit team up). I personally feel that this saga could very well go on to become one of the greatest and most celebrated arcs in the history of Dragon Ball, up there with the likes of the Frieza saga and dare I say, the Cell saga. One of the reasons for the above mentioned bold claim is that this saga has something that we’ve never really seen from the series--moral ambiguity. In nearly every episode, we get a strong sense of moral disconnection that really announces the question--‘was all that fighting really worth the consequences, which is the destruction of billions of Lives?’. This element instantly puts this current arc to a refreshing new place that we’ve never seen in Dragon Ball. If you’ve been following the Univer

What the word 'Activism' really means

The word ‘Activism’ (and ‘Activist’) is another clever piece of subliminal social engineering at work. In a wider sense, the word means being upfront or vocal about something that impacts both society and Humanity at large or trying to change something for the better. But when a whole new term is used to describe some form of activity, it’s also implied that, albeit in a subtle way, that particular set of behavior falls outside of the ‘norm’, and therefore, is indirectly discouraged. When anyone says that he/she is an Activist, what’s being implied is that his/her actions are actually outside of the general flow of society. The society we live in just wants you to follow a particular set of rules (read activities), which, in relevant to our times is--work, earn, spend, work harder, earn more, consume more, get your social status up, rinse and repeat. Anything that’s outside of this narrow spectrum, is always mocked and discouraged, although in a pretty subtle way.
