Wishlist of Fights in the Tournament of Power

The ongoing Tournament of Power has opened up a huge sandbox of possibilities when it comes to jaw-dropping fights in Dragon Ball Super. With Powerhouses like Hit from Universe 6, Goku, Golden Frieza and Vegeta from Universe 7, Toppo and Jiren from Universe 11 locked in an all-out battle royal, it’s obvious that they will engage with each other, sooner or later.

But what’s more interesting is who they will be fighting with, and this is what the unique selling point of this arc is--thanks to the Tournament of Power, it’s now actually possible to see otherwise fan-favorite-pipe-dream fights like Hit vs Golden Frieza or Toppo vs Mystic/Ultimate Gohan and more.

As it’s already set that Goku will be fighting Jiren and that’s possibly the main event this Tournament is building towards, there are many more such exciting cross-Universe fights that can happen. And here are my personal picks of the three most exciting possible battles that can really turn up the heat in DB Super.

Hit vs Golden Frieza:

After coming back from the dead, we’ve seen Frieza being more powerful and deadlier than ever. Besides fully mastering the Golden form (which was already more powerful than Super Saiyan Blue), he’s also managed to stand in equal grounds with a post-Zamasu-saga Goku. That’s a massive feat from Frieza and he even seems to be not as intimidated by Beerus as someone like him should, which indicates that maybe he's actually a lot more powerful than what we’ve seen so far.

And then there’s Hit, who has rightfully become one of the most fan-favorite powerhouse characters in DB Super. What’s really great about Hit is that besides possessing super strength like all other powerhouses, it's his versatility that puts him in a league of his own. In terms of powerset, most fighters in the Dragon Ball-verse is pretty much equal--punch, kick, ki-blast ultimate, rinse and repeat. And in a franchise full of redundant powersets and abilities, it's a real treat to watch someone skipping time, crossing dimensions and doing everything that Hit does.

I'd even say that Hit is one of the best things to ever come out of Super, simply cause of his abilities which makes a fight all the more interesting and unpredictable.

Also, the fight with Dyspo proves easily that Hit is one of the most badass characters we’ve seen from the Dragonball franchise. And that makes the possibility of a Hit vs Golden Frieza fight even more exciting.

Besides, a part of me wants to see Frieza getting badly defeated and humiliated by one of the combatants in this tournament, and who better to do that than Hit? Just my two cents.

Android 17 vs Dyspo:

If you’re following DB Super, you know that the character depiction of 17 is one of the best things we’ve seen from the anime--it’s remarkable how well the writers have set up his character in just a few episodes. Also, his unusually cold demeanour and highly enjoyable banter during battles have turned 17 into a genuine fan-favorite character in Super.

And that’s why, to really get the shine he deserves, 17 needs at least one powerful character to face in this tournament and that’s why, in my opinion, it’s best if he gets to fight Dyspo as his opponent. Now even though Dyspo is not up there with the likes of Toppo and Jiren, he’s fairly powerful by himself as evident in episode 104 where he was throwing around Super Saiyan God Goku. I think both 17 and Dyspo belong in the 2nd tier of power in this tournament (the first tier belonging to Goku, Jiren, Vegeta and all) and that’s why, it’d be a genuinely great fight if these two characters square-off.

Vegeta vs Toppo:

So far in the tournament of Power, we haven’t seen much from Vegeta. That’s probably cause the writers are saving something big for him in the upcoming episodes. Also, remember that Vegeta did some really intense training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber so he’s most likely hiding something huge, like a new power-up or something like that.

There's also one possible match that we might see in this tournament involving the Prince of all Saiyans--Vegeta vs Hit. But I think while it might be satisfying for the fans to witness Hit getting pummeled by Vegeta, overall it wouldn’t be that much memorable. What made the Goku vs Hit matches really shine was the fact that Goku was diving head-on against an opponent whose attacks were completely unknown to the viewers as well as Goku himself. There was a real sense of unpredictability in those matches and the possibility of Goku not winning against Hit was a very real one. And that’s one of the reasons why those fights were so much treat to watch.

But if Vegeta fights Hit now, it would be kind of unfair cause he already knows all about Hit’s techniques and attacks (Vegeta watched Goku fight Hit twice) and thus Vegeta can outsmart and defeat Hit pretty handily with all that knowledge. While the fight would be cool to watch regardless, it would be too predictable and will not have the element of surprise that makes fights truly memorable.

So to me, a Hit vs Vegeta rematch is quite unlikely. And with Jiren out of the equation, that only leaves Toppo as the most fitting choice when it comes to being Vegeta’s opponent. In episode 104, it was implied that Toppo is in a higher league of power than Hit, as we saw Toppo instantly knowing (or figuring out) Hit’s techniques after watching them. And it was also established that Toppo is more powerful than a fully powered post-Zamasu saga SSBlue Goku. So it really seems that a Vegeta vs Toppo fight will be a real treat for fans and viewers alike as in this fight, Vegeta would have to unleash all that power he’s hiding within him. And this fight will also mark the fact that Vegeta has really managed to surpass the SSBlue form.

As a lot more weaker fighters have been eliminated, the Tournament of Power will soon make way for some truly jaw-dropping powerhouse battles. It’s going to get a lot more serious (and maybe darker) from here, along with some highly interesting match-ups.

But these are just my wishlist of fights that I would like to see in this tournament. Now what about yours? Which possible fights are you looking forward to in the upcoming episodes? Sound off in the comments section.

Dragon Age 2 guide: Bloodlusted Forcemage

The mage has always been the most powerful class in the dragon age games----dealing devastating area of effect (AOE) spells & single target damages enough to obliterate anyone dare to cross his path...until they start paying attention to him. As soon as his enemies get to him, he's dead meat. The mage is as powerful as he/she is squishy. But all that changes with the Bloodlusted Forcemage (BF mage). Remember the mage from the opening sequence after choosing the class in DA2? The BFmage is similar to that in terms of both raw power & defense. The BFmage do not hide & do not run away at the first sign of threat and can easily go toe-toe toe with his foes alongside the warrior or tanks. It was my second playthrough as a mage when I found this build after much experimenting with the class. And yes, the Bloodlusted Forcemage completely obliterates The Arishok in Nightmare with ease & that's when I know this build really works. Vulgar display of Pow

Dragon Age 2 guide----The Shadowy Assassin

"It's a ghost, it's a one hit killer, oh no it's the Shadowy Assassin"----Lieutenant That's actually the most apt description I've found for this unbelievably powerful build, believe it or not. The Shadowy Assassin (SA) is simply an unstoppable force of nature. He moves so fast that enemies have a hard time trying to get a bead on him, annihilates weaker foes with one shot (not talking about spike damage)----even after some archers actually manage to focus on him, all they can manage to hit is a rigged decoy ready to blow into smithereens. Meanwhile the SA makes short work of them from behind, and when that Lieutenant is the only one left standing, something beautiful happens----the mage puts a winter's grasp/cone of cold on him, the SA throws something at the Lieutenant & when he thinks he's got it figured, only the cracking sound of bones getting crunched is heard----poetry in motion. The fight is over before it ever had a ch

The Best Live version of Comfortably Numb

Pink Floyd’s Comfortably Numb is undoubtedly one of the greatest pieces of music ever composed on the electric guitar. And if you’ve heard the studio version, it’s literally impossible to not get blown away by the myriads of live versions of the solo that Gilmour has played through the years (or decades). And the great thing about the live renditions is that each of them brings a distinctly characteristic feel to the solo--making all of them memorable and stand on their own, it’s almost like different takes on the original studio version. For example, the Delicate Sound of Thunder version has a darker and more tormented feel overall, there are parts of the solo where it’s unlike anything ever heard from Gilmour. This version is also the most ‘badass’ and raw version of the Comfortably Numb solo, which was how Gilmour played it during the Momentary Lapse tour in the late 80’s. And until Live in Gdansk came out, this was my favorite version of the solo. Also, Gilmour’s gu
